I am a native of Maine and have been a practicing Family Physician for approximately 20 years. After working in the mainstream healthcare system for a number of years, I realized that I could not practice medicine in this way anymore. I felt that the computer and the constraints of insurance companies were interfering with my ability to care for patients. It troubled me that patients were becoming much sicker and at a younger age, and many were looking for the "pill for the ill" but nowhere were we addressing the root issue. My interest in nutrition and wellness sparked after my husband became ill with Lyme Disease almost 10 years ago. I began to research the human body and its inner workings, and learned that my husband's body was riddled with inflammation. I changed our diets drastically, eliminating all processed foods and started juicing organic fruits and vegetables, and preparing meals with whole foods. I came to realize that our minds play an even bigger role in the healing process... positive messaging, meditation, and visualization are powerful tools that support the body's healing and continued wellness. My new path as a Health Coach has been a journey... a journey where I learned strength, self-trust, resilience, and faith.

I am a Family Practice/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine board-certified physician also certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine. I bring a complete approach to patient’s health focusing on the whole person while specializing in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). OMT uses “hands on” care to treat both acute and chronic illnesses and to maintain and promote optimal health and wellbeing.

I am a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Osteopathy, Cranial Academy, and the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation. I attended medical school at University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my Family Practice / Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency at Florida Hospital in East Orlando, Florida.
